God does not shield us from life’s storms; He shelters us in life’s storms.

The purpose of prayer and meditation should be to align ourselves with God and to invite Him to lead us and inspire us according to His will.

God will use our past and present so we may serve Him with our future.

God wants to be involved in everything we do.

Sometimes God speaks to us through nature, through music, through other people, through poems or other writings; but God also speaks to us through a still, small voice in our hearts and minds

God knows us better we know ourselves.

One of the reasons we don’t seem to experience God’s presence in our lives is that we are either living in the past or fretting about the future.

Through prayer we can express our feelings and talk our problems out with God.

We can pray anywhere and at anytime and God will hear us.

Walk humbly with God, practice the presence of Him in our daily affairs, ask Him for strength to face each new day, turn to Him often during the day in prayer for ourselves and others, thank God at night for the blessings we have received during the day.

MAY YOU HEAR THE WHISPERS
The man whispered, "God, speak to me" and a meadowlark sang. But, the man did not hear. So the man yelled, “God, speak to me” and the thunder rolled across the sky. But, the man did not listen. The man looked around and said, "God let me see you." And a star shined brightly. But the man did not see. And, the man shouted, "God show me a miracle." And, a life was born. But, the man did not notice. So, the man cried out in despair, "Touch me God, and let me know you are here." Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man. But, the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on. This is a great reminder that God is always around us in the little and simple things that we take for granted, even in our electronic age. So I would like to add one more: The man cried, "God, I need your help!" And an e-mail arrived reaching out with good news and encouragement. But, the man deleted it and continued crying .Don’t miss out on a blessing because it isn’t packaged the way that you expect. --Author Unknown

Stay in the center of the herd
In Today's day and age it does not take much to pull you from that area that we as Christians would consider safe.... A few examples of our safe havens are Church, Home fellowships, Prayer meetings or anywhere that we gather in the name of the LORD.
You can see people who were once so filled with the spirit just slip away into the abyss of sin and self enjoyment of there own selfish lust in just a few days and sometimes I ask myself (what happened?) how did they end up there? Now I know why Peter said:
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8
Lets break that down.
1. be self-controlled and alert. (the answer)
2. The devil is a stalker seeking a life to ruin, he is your enemy. (the Problem)
If you have ever watched a Lion Hunt they always go for the weaker animals that are either not part of the Herd, of they are on the outside edge of the heard, very rarely will a Lion attach into the center of the herd.
So what does self-control and being alert have to do with that....... Everything!
Self-Control says "yes I know that tree over there looks like a nice place to Play, But I have never been there before, maybe I should not go there It does not look to familiar to me" Self-control says " well they do have a designated driver but I could read my Bible with my friends instead and I now I wont get in any trouble doing that"
Being alert is the ability to use self-Control and recognize the hidden danger... Yes the center of the herd that's the safest place for all of us to be.... Fellowship....surround yourself with Godly people and use self-Control.... Play it safe folks don't take the chance, stay in the center of the herd, that's where you will find the Acts 2:42 Church .
"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer". Acts 2:42.
It worked for them and it will work for you....STAY in the HERD!
God Bless you! Author Unknown

Little Things
A four-hundred-year-old tree crashed to the forest floor. Over the centuries it had been struck by lightning fourteen times, braved great windstorms, and even defied an earthquake. In the end, however, it was killed by little beetles. Boring under the bark, they chewed away its mighty fibers until the giant of the forest lay broken on the ground.
Little things can either make us or break us. A little lie, a little theft, a little laziness, a little neglect, a little drink a little too often, a little sarcasm, a little denial here and a little there ... bit by bit we can add them all together and eventually hurt or destroy our relationships, our physical and/or mental health, and our walk with God.
On the other hand, a little smile, a little deed of kindness, a little encouraging word, a little thoughtful gift, a little phone call, a little bit of love given a lot of times every day can add up to a whole lot of sunshine that we can spread wherever we are and go, and in so doing encourage others, enhance our relationships, improve our physical and mental health, and please the heart of God. "Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread." by Max Lucado
What a statement of trust! Whatever you want me to have is all I want. Some days the plate runs over. God keeps bringing out more food and we keep loosening our belt. A promotion. A privilege. A friendship. A gift. A lifetime of grace. An eternity of joy. There are times when we literally push ourselves back from the table, amazed at God's kindness. "You serve me a six-course dinner right in front of my enemies. You revive my drooping head; my cup fills with blessing" (Ps. 23:5 MSG). And then there are those days when, well, when we have to eat our broccoli. Our daily bread could be tears or sorrow or discipline. Our portion may include adversity as well as opportunity. This verse was on my mind last night during family devotions. I called my daughters to the table and set a plate in front of each. In the center of the table I placed a collection of food: some fruit, some raw vegetables and some Oreo cookies. "Every day," I explained, "God prepares for us a plate of experiences. What kind of plate do you most enjoy?" The answer was easy. Sara put three cookies on her plate. Some days are like that, aren't they? Some days are "three cookie days." Many are not. Sometimes our plate has nothing but vegetables--twenty-four hours of celery, carrots, and squash. Apparently God knows we need some strength, and though the portion may be hard to swallow, isn't it for our own good? Most days, however, have a bit of it all. Vegetables, which are healthy but dull. Fruit, which tastes better and we enjoy. And even an Oreo, which does little for our nutrition, but a lot for our attitude. All are important and all are from God. The next time your plate has more broccoli than apple pie, remember who prepared the meal. And the next time your plate has a portion you find hard to swallow, talk to God about it. Jesus did. In the garden of Gethsemane his Father handed him a cup of suffering so sour, so vile, that Jesus handed it back to heaven. "My Father," he prayed, "if it is possible may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will" (Matt. 26:39). Even Jesus was given a portion he found hard to swallow. But with God's help, he did. And with God's help, you can too.

God vs Science
'Let me explain the problem science has with religion. The atheist professor of philosophy pauses before his class and then asks one of his new students to stand.
'You're a Christian, aren't you, son?'
'Yes sir,' the student says .
'So you believe in God?'
'Absolutely.'
'Is God good?'
'Sure! God's good.'
'Is God all-powerful? Can God do anything?'
'Yes'
'Are you good or evil?'
'The Bible says I'm evil.'
The professor grins knowingly. 'Aha! The Bible!' He considers for a moment. 'Here's one for you. Let's say there's a sick person over here and you can cure him. You can do it. Would you help him? Would you try?'
'Yes sir, I would.'
'So you're good...!'
'I wouldn't say that.'
'But why not say that? You'd help a sick and maimed person if you could. Most of us would if we could. But God doesn't..'
The student does not answer, so the professor continues. 'He doesn't, does he? My brother was a Christian who died of cancer, even though he prayed to Jesus to heal him. How is this Jesus good? Hmmm? Can you answer that one?'
The student remains silent.
'No, you can't, can you?' the professor says. He takes a sip of water from a glass on his desk to give the student time to relax. 'Let's start again, young fella. Is God good?'
'Er..yes,' the student says.
'Is Satan good?'
The student doesn't hesitate on this one. 'No.'
'Then where does Satan come from?'
The student falters. 'From God'
'That's right. God made Satan, didn't he? Tell me, son. Is there evil in this world?'
'Yes, sir.'
'Evil's everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything, correct?'
'Yes'
'So who created evil? The professor continued, 'If God created everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to the principle that our works define who we are, then God is evil.'
Again, the student has no answer.
'Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things, do they exist in this world?'
The student squirms on his feet. 'Yes.'
'So who created them?'
The student does not answer again, so the professor repeats his question. 'Who created them?' There is still no answer. Suddenly the lecturer breaks away to pace in front of the classroom. The class is mesmerized. 'Tell me,' he continues onto another student. 'Do you believe in Jesus Christ, son?'
The student's voice betrays him and cracks. 'Yes, professor, I do.'
The old man stops pacing. 'Science says you have five senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Have you ever seen Jesus?'
'No sir. I've never seen Him.' 'Then tell us if you've ever heard your Jesus?' 'No, sir, I have not.'
'Have you ever felt your Jesus, tasted your Jesus or smelt your Jesus? Have you ever had any sensory perception of Jesus Christ, or God for that matter?'
'No, sir, I'm afraid I haven't.' 'Yet you still believe in him?' 'Yes'
'According to the rules of empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your God doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?'
'Nothing,' the student replies. 'I only have my faith.'
'Yes, faith,' the professor repeats. 'And that is the problem science has with God.. There is no evidence, only faith.'
The student stands quietly for a moment, before asking a question of His own. 'Professor, is there such thing as heat?' Yes.
'And is there such a thing as cold?' 'Yes, son, there's cold too.' 'No sir, there isn't.'
The professor turns to face the student, obviously interested. The room suddenly becomes very quiet. The student begins to explain. 'You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat, mega-heat, unlimited heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat, but we don't have anything called 'cold'. We can hit up to 458 degrees below zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go colder than the lowest -458 degrees. 'Everybody or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter ha ve or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-458 F) is the total absence of heat. You see, sir, cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat we can measure in thermal units because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.' Silence across the room. A pen drops somewhere in the classroom, sounding like a hammer.
'What about darkness, professor.. Is there such a thing as darkness?' 'Yes,' the professor replies without hesitation. 'What is night if it isn't darkness?'
'You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is not something; it is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light, but if you have no light constantly you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? That's the meaning we use to define the word.'
'In reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?'
The professor begins to smile at the student in front of him. This will be a good semester.. 'So what point are you making, young man?'
Yes, professor. My point is, your philosophical premise is flawed to start with, and so your conclusion must also be flawed.'
The professor's face cannot hide his surprise this time. 'Flawed? Can you explain how?'
'You are working on the premise of duality,' the student explains... 'You argue that there is life and then there's death; a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought.' 'It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it.'
'Now tell me, professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?' 'If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, young man, yes, of course I do.' 'Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?' The professor begins to shake his head, still smiling, as he realizes where the argument is going. A very good semester, indeed. 'Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work
and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you now not a scientist, but a preacher?'
The class is in uproar. The student remains silent until the commotion has subsided. 'To continue the point you were making earlier to the other student, let me give you an example of what I mean.' The student looks around the room. 'Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the professor's brain?' The class breaks out into laughter. ' Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor's brain, felt the professor's brain, touched or smelt the professor's brain? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, with all due respect, sir. 'So if science says you have no brain, how can we trust your lectures, sir?'
Now the room is silent. The professor just stares at the student, his face unreadable. Finally, after what seems an eternity, the old man answers. 'I guess you'll have to take them on faith.'
'Now, you accept that there is faith, and, in fact, faith exists with life,' the student continues. 'Now, sir, is there such a thing as evil?'
Now uncertain, the professor responds, 'Of course, there is. We see it everyday It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These
manifestations are nothing else but evil.'
To this the student replied, 'Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God.
God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light.' The professor sat down.
If you read it all the way through and had a smile on your face when you finished, mail to your friends and family with the title 'God vs Science' The student was Albert Einstein. Albert Einstein did write a book titled God vs Science in 1921... Author Unknown

Failure doesn't mean - "You are a failure,"
It means - You have not succeeded.

It means - You had a lot of faith.
Failure doesn't mean - "You don't have it,"
It means - You were willing to try.
Failure doesn't mean - "You are inferior,"
It means - You are not perfect.
Failure doesn't mean - "You've wasted your life,"
It means - You have a reason to start afresh.
Failure doesn't mean - "You should give up,"
It means - "You must try harder.
Failure doesn't mean - "You'll never make it,"
It means - It will take a little longer.
Failure doesn't mean - "God has abandoned you,"
It means - God has a better way for you.

Jesus Saves My life
And all that I am
Is backed up
On Heaven's hard drive.
Should anything happen to me
There will come a day
When God
Will simply run my file again
And I
Will reappear
But without all the errors
And viruses
Of sinful earth.
And I
Will continue
Forever
In His love.
My life
And all that I am
Is backed up
On Heaven's hard drive
Because Jesus Saves. :-)

Small Straws In A Soft Wind by Marsha Burns
My people, if you can rise above your circumstances and the worldly things that demand your time and attention; if you can be quiet and seek My face; if you will listen for My still, small voice, I will impart to you greater revelation of My kingdom, My purposes, and that which is before you. I am now calling you to a time of clarity in what you see and hear. But, you must come into the realm of the Spirit and refuse to allow your fleshly desires to pervert the purity of what I am about to impart. This place of holiness will require sanctification and consecration. You must give yourselves wholly to Me, says the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:4 ... each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor.

I saw in a vision a village of people, each of whom had a plot of ground. It was springtime and the people were carrying their bags of seed to plant. Everyone knew what they were going to plant to receive the harvest they desired or needed. Each bag was unique with different seeds. They were going out with joy to plant in expectation of the end result of their labor. It was going to be hard work to sow, but not one of them went out to plant with an attitude that they were wasting their time or seeds. They didn't believe that the seeds would lay dormant in the ground or die. They planted with anticipation of a great harvest. And, I heard the Lord say: You are also in a time of sowing in the realm of the spirit. Be wise in preparing the ground of your heart, and plant by faith according to the leading of My Spirit. The seeds that you sow now will produce a harvest by the Feast of Trumpets. Isaiah 55:12 You shall go out with joy and be led forth in peace, the mountains and the hills will burst into song before you.

I was reminded of the pool of Siloam where the blind man washed and received his sight, and the Lord said: I have called many to be watchmen, yet you cannot see because you lack discernment. You must come to Me to be filled with My Spirit and allow Me to anoint your eyes so that you are no longer blind to spiritual activity. Arise, come in faith and believe that I will open your eyes, and receive your sight by faith, says the Lord. Hebrews 5:14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Beloved, take the time and be quiet enough to gain a fresh perspective of where you have been and where you are now before I lead you out to your next point of destiny. It is important that you see the past, not as a place of defeat, but as a place of experiential growth and victory. You have come through a lot and are stronger because of the struggle. This strength will serve you well in upcoming challenges, and the wisdom you have gained will undergird your confidence to overcome, says the Lord. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Watch for an attack of the enemy that will make you feel that you have strayed from My purposes. You may have gone off the beaten path, but the unusual things you are experiencing now will give you the ability see from a different perspective. The more and varied ways you can look at your situation, the better able you are to discern with clarity. Don't be afraid to look, really look, at your circumstances with an eye to make necessary adjustments at this juncture in your life, says the Lord. Trust that your times and seasons are in My hand. Psalm 94:17-19 Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul would soon have settled in silence. If I say, "My foot slips," Your mercy, O LORD, will hold me up. In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.

The Trumpet by Bill Burns
"Set the trumpet to your mouth!" Hosea 8:1
Believe, My little ones. I speak of you as little, as in childlike faith, but not little in power and not little in anointing; only little in your own eyes that you may be large in My kingdom and that you may become exactly what I have called you to be. I tell you that it is My good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Do you not know that within My kingdom I prosper My people and heal them and deliver them? I will bring you into the fullness of that which has been spoken of and written even in the holy scriptures. Today, I speak into your ears that if you will now step into the new season in faith, you will come forth in power. You have walked through the fires and have been tried by the fire. Now you can step over the threshold, beloved, for you are entering a new season of glory and of My manifest presence, says the Lord. Surely, I will come and do this work, and will touch you and will speak a word and lead you and guide you into all of that I have purposed for you.

I would have you to see. I would have you to awake out of a slumber. I would have you awake to a place in the spirit realm where I can pour out My anointing upon you that will indeed not only cause you to hear my voice, but to perceive my purposes. For such is the day and such is the hour of the releasing of this anointing of victory into your life if you can but receive it, by believing it, then you can have it, says the Lord. I come in the power of My kingdom into your life to set you free from every curse, from every hindrance, from everything that the enemy has established against you that will keep you from moving into the fullness of My kingdom. And I come in the power of My anointing, the fullness thereof, and release that upon you today to be well, to be blessed, and to become the highly favored of the Most High. In the power of My word and by the hearing of My word your faith is manifest. For faith comes by hearing and it works through your heart in the love of the Lord. For these are the times of new beginnings, the times of new seasons, they are indeed the days of restoration for My people. They are indeed the days when you shall receive the anointing of the fourth watch. Come with expectation, come in faith, for faith is the currency of heaven.

My Child,
I'm right there by you
when the desert winds are dry;
though the sands of time seem endless,
My child, you need not cry....
Every prayer that you have whispered,
every tear that you have shed,
every heartache, every thought...
reaches Me before it's said.
I will calm the restless spirit,
quell the fears you have within,
send My grace like soft new dewdrops
to refresh you once again.
Like a fountain of clear water
I'm right here to help you grow...
be patient now, My dear child,
your joy will overflow.

Letting God Into Your Heart
When it is God's Love
you allow into your heart
He will show you how a bright
new world will start.
He will take your hurt
your sin your pain
And it is there with Him
it will remain.
His Love is something we
are to learn anew
He will direct us
on exactly what to do.
His Life giving Blood
will wash you clean
Trust in Him you will see
what I mean.
He will take you
from this forsaken earth
And return you
to your Heavenly Birth.
He will give you new eyes
so you will see
His Love will be with you
throughout eternity.
He will give you new ears
so you will hear
His Loving words that will draw
and hold you near.
He will give you new words
so you can say
I praise Your Holy Name Father
each and every day.
He will give you a new Heart
from which you will Love
All the Blessings He sends
you from above.
And All this Love
was allowed to start
By just letting God's Love
into your Heart.

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20

I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Psalm 9:9

Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self,
which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Colossians 3:9-10

They refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and in their rebellion appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them, even when they cast for themselves an image of a calf and said, 'This is your god, who brought you up out of Egypt,' or when they committed awful blasphemies. Nehemiah 9:17-18

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10

He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. Psalm 145:19

NEED MORE STRENGTH? WAIT ON GOD!
Those that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. -Isaiah 40:31 NKJV
God usually doesn't tell us how He will answer our prayers, or even when. But He does promise those who wait on Him one thing - strength. The word "wait" in this Scripture pictures a Hebrew word used in the making of rope. Every rope starts out as a thread, and every strand added just increases its strength. So each time you wait on the Lord you add another thread to the rope; you get a little stronger, a little more able to cope. Do you feel like you're just hanging on by a thread today? Spend more time in God's presence and God's Word, and watch your thread turn into a rope. But waiting is not always passive, sometimes it's active, like waiting on a customer, seeing that his or her needs are met. In this case, waiting is not so much a position as it is a focus.
The Bible says, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You" (Isa 26:3 NKJV). Whether it's sitting prayerfully in His presence or actively carrying out His will, you have God's assurance that your strength will be renewed.
If you're at the end of your rope today, grab hold of these three promises: (1) "Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord" (Ps 27:14 NKJV). (2) "Wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him" (Ps 62:5 NKJV). (3) "As the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters... so our eyes look to the Lord our God" (Ps 123:2 NKJV). Do you need more strength? Wait on God! --SoulFood Bible Readings

THE IMPORTANCE OF EVERY DAY
ROMANS 12:2
Andre Previn said, "If I miss a day of practice, I know it. If I miss two days, my manager knows it. If I miss three days, my audience, knows it."
He was talking about the piano, but the same is true about your devotional life. When you're spending time with God on a consistent basis, it shows. When you aren't, it also shows. You'll notice it first, then those closest to you, and, pretty soon, it's obvious to everyone.
Paul said that you can be "transformed by the renewing of your mind..." (Romans 12:2) This renewal -- this transformation -- occurs during those quiet moments we spend in the presence of God, when we open his Word and open our hearts to what the Spirit would say to us.
No matter what one accomplishes professionally in the work of the ministry, this time with God remains a daily priority. If Andre Previn needs to practice the piano every day to stay at his best, we need to practice the presence of God every day to stay at our best. --Steve May

4 "Show me, O LORD, my life's end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life. 5 You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Each man's life is but a breath. Selah 6 Man is a mere phantom as he goes to and fro: He bustles about, but only in vain; he heaps up wealth, not knowing who will get it. 7 "But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in you. Psalm 39

Jesus Prays for All Believers
20"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: 23I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. 24"Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. 25"Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. 26I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them." Numbers 12
Miriam and Aaron Oppose Moses
1 Miriam and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cu****e wife, for he had married a Cu****e. 2 "Has the LORD spoken only through Moses?" they asked. "Hasn't he also spoken through us?" And the LORD heard this. 3 (Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.) 4 At once the LORD said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, "Come out to the Tent of Meeting, all three of you." So the three of them came out. 5 Then the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud; he stood at the entrance to the Tent and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When both of them stepped forward, 6 he said, "Listen to my words: "When a prophet of the LORD is among you, I reveal myself to him in visions, I speak to him in dreams. 7 But this is not true of my servant Moses; he is faithful in all my house. 8 With him I speak face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?" 9 The anger of the LORD burned against them, and he left them. 10 When the cloud lifted from above the Tent, there stood Miriam—leprous, like snow. Aaron turned toward her and saw that she had leprosy; 11 and he said to Moses, "Please, my lord, do not hold against us the sin we have so foolishly committed. 12 Do not let her be like a stillborn infant coming from its mother's womb with its flesh half eaten away." 13 So Moses cried out to the LORD, "O God, please heal her!" 14 The LORD replied to Moses, "If her father had spit in her face, would she not have been in disgrace for seven days? Confine her outside the camp for seven days; after that she can be brought back." 15 So Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on till she was brought back. 16 After that, the people left Hazeroth and encamped in the Desert of Paran.

St. Theresa's Prayer: 'May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.'
