Deuteronomy 1:21

God gave the land to the Hebrews, but they still had to take possession of it. Similarly, God has given us a new life. But to realize its benefits, we have to take hold of that life and make it our own. That’s what the process of recovery is all about-venturing into new territory, new ways of thinking, new patterns for living. It’s scary, and we can become discouraged. But God is with us; he wants us to have a better life. In his power, we will truly take possession of it.
